Excellence in Board Governance (ECBG) Directory stores and processes personal data that you will be providing or have provided in order for us to create your ECBG participant profile and the ECBG Directory. The ECBG Directory will provide a directory of the ECBG participant profiles that will be available for viewing by ECBG participants and alumnae (hereinafter “ECBG Participants”), ECBG Steering Committee and affiliates ("ECBG Committee") and ECBG Committee vetted third parties. The purpose of the ECBG Directory is to provide a resource for ECBG Participants, the ECBG Committee and interested third parties (Third-Party Directory users), to facilitate the networking, board service or other goals of the ECBG program.

Access to and use of this ECBG Directory site is subject to the following Terms and Conditions. Please take the time to read through these Terms and Conditions. By proceeding to use this site, adding your information to your profile and/or clicking “I agree” [TO CONFIRM] you will have accepted these Terms and Conditions, and any changes thereto, that may be posted from time to time, and you will be bound by them. If you don't agree to the Terms and Conditions set out herein, do not complete your profile and only your name, photo and year of participation will be visible. In these Terms and Conditions, the words "you", "your" and similar terms and expressions refer to and mean the ECBG Participants or “Third-Party Directory users” of the site and "we", "us", "our" and similar terms and expressions refer to and mean the ECBG Committee and the Greater Montreal Chapter of Women In Bio (Greater Montreal WIB). The ECBG Committee is a committee of the Greater Montreal WIB and reference to Greater Montreal WIB includes the ECBG Committee.

The Greater Montreal WIB is committed to ensuring that the ECBG Directory is useful and efficient. Greater Montreal WIB therefore reserves the right to make changes to the ECBG Directory that it in sole discretion sees fit.

You are granted a non-exclusive and revocable right to create a hyperlink to the ECBG Directory homepage only, provided this hyperlink, or its use, does not portray Women In Bio and/or Greater Montreal WIB, its affiliates and/or their wares or services in a detrimental, false, misleading or otherwise negative manner. You are not permitted to (a) use any trade mark, logo, icon, or graphic owned by Women In Bio and/or Greater Montreal WIB as part of a link or (b) use any framing or similar technology to create a link between your website and that of ECBG Directory or (c) create a link to any portion of ECBG Directory website, other than its homepage, without the prior written consent of Greater Montreal WIB.

In conjunction with these terms and conditions, use of this site is also governed by Women In Bios' Privacy Policy and the ECBG Privacy Policy. Please click on these icons and take the time to review our privacy policies in detail.

Confidentiality

Although the ECBG Committee and the Greater Montreal WIB takes reasonable and prudent steps to safeguard the confidentiality of the information and data you provide to this website, you acknowledge that the Internet is not a completely secure medium. Greater Montreal WIB will not be liable for any misuse or interception of information you post on this website.

Jurisdiction

This site is directed to users only in Canada. Users in other countries are of course welcome to view our site, but will not be able to access detailed profile information.

Governing Law

The validity, interpretation and performance of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed under the Laws of the Province of Quebec and the Laws of Canada applicable therein, as if performed wholly within Quebec and without giving effect to the principles of conflict of law.

Severability

In the event that any provisions of this agreement are declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provisions shall be deemed deleted from these Terms and Conditions with all remaining terms remaining in full force and effect.

Disputes

All disputes, claims and actions relating to these Terms and Conditions or the use of this site shall be heard and decided exclusively by the Courts of the Province of Quebec or the Federal Court of Canada.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any applicable Contest Terms and Conditions and our Privacy policy constitute the entire agreement governing access to and use of this site and there are no other terms, conditions, representations or warranties which are not specified therein.
